socialradar: top 50 brands november ’09

the service social radar collects “billions of messages and articles 24/7 from millions of sources all over the Internet [(blog posts, news feeds, forums, social networks and twitter posts)], providing historical content spanning back through 2007″ and recently published the top 50 brands on the web for november – a list, that aggregates the most frequently mentioned words and brands on the web that were posted by unique individuals or sources during november 2009. here are the top 10:

the rise of “microsoft” and “windows” can probably be derived from the release of windows 7. more infos can be found on the website of socialradar and ofcourse in this pdf, containing the whole top50.
update:
just stumbled upon this forrester blog entry by david card, who published the consumers’ favorite online brands 2009 (in difference to 2007) according to the numbers of the north american technographics media and advertising online survey q2/2009 and thought, this is quite interesting compared to the top10 from the socialradar.

one could wonder, why yahoo! is still such a strong brand and why on the other side twitter is not even listed. well, the solution might be easy: not every internet user is into social media (have a look at my blogpost from today).
